Are different things, though. . .
Candida, the organism that produces a yeast infection, is able to spread. Although it can cause infection of the cervix, by definition, can cause irritation of the cervix, if it gets bad enough.
Candida is one of the fastest largely neglected in this country. E 'soluble in blood, so if a yeast infection left untreated, can spread everywhere.
The most common areas of infection for yeast infections are:
1. The vagina or penis
2. The lower digestive tract
3. The prostate in men
4. The brain (causing a symptom known as brain fog)

Yes, there are possibilities of infection to get on the cervix, whether the infection is not treated well. Yeast infection known as candidiasis and caused by "Candida albicans" yeast. Can be completely cured with medications and the tablets recently the source of infection, such as deepening of unprotected sex should be avoided. Partners must be treated in the same time to prevent future infections.
